Tui Na
Tui Na Chinese medical massage, literally means ‘push’ and ‘grasp’ it is the massage and bodywork part of Traditional Chinese medicine. It involves the use of the hands, elbows and forearms to press on key points on the surface of the body. When these points are stimulated they release tension, increase circulation and increase the body’s own natural healing process. Tui na has the ability to work on the local muscle near the trauma and break down scar tissue and adhesions. Tui Na is often combined with cupping therapy.

Deep tissue massage
Deep tissue massage is popular because of its technique. It’s a slower stronger massage that penetrates deep into the muscles. It aims to treat the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep finger pressure on contracted areas either following or going across the fibres of the muscles and tendons. when muscles are tense they block oxygen and nutrients to the muscle that leads to inflammation and build up of toxins in the muscle tissue. A deep tissue massage helps loosen muscle tissue, release toxins from the tissue and gets blood and oxygen circulating properly.

Relaxation Massage
Relaxation massage is a gentle Swedish massage that uses smooth gliding strokes to help you relax. We move at a slower pace and use lighter pressure. There is less emphasis on working out the chronic tension and ‘knots’ in the muscle. During a relaxation massage you just want to drift away and feel good. You might even fall asleep! It’s a good choice for someone who is getting a massage for the first time or for someone who just wants to relax and bring their stress levels down. It’s not always realistic to get rid of all your ‘knots’ in one massage but to drift off into a deeply relaxed state in 45mins that’s doable!
